Grade 7 Life Science--Mrs. Barron

We use the FOSS Diversity of Life kit and the Holt Science and Technology Life Science textbook.  Life Science is a precursor or introduction to high school Biology.
 
Along with these resources, we also use Study Island, Science World magazine, and BrainPOP.  The students will have accounts to log in to all three.  FOSS and Study Island are both accessed through Clever.  The information for logging into Scholastic for Science World is posted on my Schoology page.
 
I provide Study Stacks (electronic) for my students to study vocabulary.  These links are also on Schoology.
 
Additional information, such as notes for Science World tests, can be accessed on my Google Classroom page. Students should also check on Schoology both the "7th Grade Student Information Center" and my personal class page daily for updates. 
 
As a seventh-grade team, we also provide a digital agenda. We call it "What Can I Do in Advisory?"  It is accessible in the 7th Grade Student Information Center.
 
I email all absent students each day unless I, too, am out. Students should check their Gmail accounts daily, especially when absent.  I expect the students to reply to the email to verify that they've received it, OR they must see me upon returning to school.
