Grade 7 Life Science--Mrs. Barron

We use the FOSS Diversity of Life kit and the Holt Science and Technology Life Science textbook.  Life Science is a precursor or introduction to high school Biology.
 
Along with these resources, we also use Study Island, Science World magazine, and BrainPOP.  The students have accounts to log in to all three of these things.  FOSS and Study Island are both accessed through Clever.  The information for logging into Scholastic for Science World is posted on my Schoology page.
 
I provide Study Stacks (electronic) for my students to study vocabulary.  These links are also on Schoology.
 
Additional information can be accessed on my Google Classroom page, such as notes for Science World tests.  Students should check Schoology daily--the "7th Grade Student Information Center" and my personal class page. 
 
As a seventh-grade team, we provide a digital agenda as well.  We call it "What Can I Do in Advisory?"  It is accessible in the 7th Grade Student Information Center.
 
I send an email to all absent students each day.  Students should check their Gmail accounts daily, especially when absent.
